The Psychology of Color
May 08, 2012
A few weeks ago, a colleague sent me a link to an article that discussed the psychology of color in the field of marketing and branding (here’s a link to it if you’re interested: http://www.aiga.org/color-code-what-color-is-brave/). After reading it, I feel like I’ve been much more aware of the colors I see in corporate offices, on popular websites, and at the grocery store. But I’ve been especially tuned into—and curious about—the choices people make with regard to home décor, and I’m fascinated by the possibility that those decisions might reflect something more complex than, say, a simple love of the color blue.
We’d love to hear a little bit about the home design choices that you’ve made, especially regarding color. Do you prefer bright, bold hues, or do you prefer subtler neutrals? What, if anything, do you think your home reveals about you?
P.S. If you’re looking for a beautiful way to bring some color into your own living space, be sure to check out our luxurious silk bedding and decorative pillows here: http://entwinedartistry.com/shop/silk-bedding/
