Fair is Fair!

The Fair Trade movement provides artisans and producers in the developing world with the opportunity to participate in a competitive global market. Buying Fair Trade products helps ensure that those who create the items we value receive wages that allow them to provide better living conditions for themselves, their families, and the communities they’re working so hard to support.
So, you wonder, as you choose this product over that in the name of Fair Trade, does it really matter? The answer is, quite simply, yes. If you’d like more information on the Fair Trade movement, check out this site: http://www.fairtraderesource.org/learn-up/faq/. And if you’re interested in reading about how a Fair Trade store changed one small town, make sure you stop by here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jessicaprois/world-fair-trade-day_b_1511761.html .
Is there a Fair Trade product you’ve used and can recommend, or a Fair Trade retailer you’re proud to support? We’d love to hear about them!
